With the
defeat of Hell's armies, Realm breathed a collective sigh of relief and hoped to
experience a true period of peace. But it was not to be. Though the
Enemy had failed to seduce him to their side, the Immortal Kaelan still felt the pull of
darkness upon him. And it brought him to destroy
Justice from within,
plunging Realm into what would be called the Great Darkness, a period of
lawlessness and despair beyond anything in Realm's history. But from the
shadows, Aura would find the hope of Realm. Genesis, the last living Blade
and Immortal, felt the call and began the mission to restore the light in Realm.
With the aid of the last survivors of Justice, she would marshal the scattered
forces of Realm to stand against the new enemies threatening to destroy
everything. During the period between the fall of Justice and the time of
Jonathan Sommers and the return of the Outsider, the Enemy would grow stronger—but
the hope Aura promised would reach even the darkest of foes.
