The Knightverse Timeline

This will provide a summary timeline of important dates and events in the history of Realm, Halo, and Oblivion.  Because Realm is a new dimension, its history begins much later than the other two.  “Creation” refers to the creation of the dimension, not necessarily the creation of all things.

Entries marked in no color (white) refer to all-world events.

Entries marked in red refer to Halo-based events.

Entries marked in purple refer to Oblivion-based events.

• bloodshed among the Demon kingdoms in Halo causes the tide of the war to turn against Oblivion; millions of Demons remain, however, and the Halo’s second great civilization falls
• Halo descends into an age ruled by various Demon warlords; the great Demon fortress of Barathrum is built

• the first Prophets emerge

• the city of Pandemonium is founded

• a revolt against the Demons succeeds; they are exiled back to Oblivion and surrounding dimensions; instead of restoring order and justice, Halo falls into lawlessness, referred to as the Long Night
• the first Fusions are created—and subsequently fall victim to their own powers
• the Prophecy of the Matrix is given, promising a deliverer for Halo from Oblivion and the Demons

• the first Halo kingdom since the beginning of the Long Night arises and attempts to restore order

• on the eve of Apollyon’s official coronation as Lord of Oblivion, the ongoing invasion of Realm fails; civil war breaks out as every Demon Lord rebels anew against Apollyon; the other Demon Lords are left to struggle for themselves to hold onto their domains
• Nemesis feeds off a human in Realm, mixing their blood, and creating the first vampire

• the Dark Balances of Realm take Demons and Defenders and reshape them into Destroyers

• the Destroyer Majestic is forged

• unable to co-exist, wars erupt between Halo’s new Demon warlords and the Destroyer Hordes

• Thrax is granted the title Prince of Hell
• the Great Schism breaks the unity of the Demon Essence: the Demons, the Destroyers, the vampires, and the Primevals
• the Great Schism of the Demon Essence breaks the power of the Demon Lords, and Halo is free once again, but remains unable to reestablish order

• the War of Darkness: after the Destroyer Armageddon brutally slays a pair of Breakers, the Shadow Elemental Archer is forced to declare war on the Destroyer Hordes

• the Breaker Dread leads a Primeval group to slay the Destroyer Lordship; the War of Darkness ends

• the kingdom of Justice experiences a period of weakness and withdraws
• incited by the Breaker Dread, the First Ascension War divides Ascension Champions into Warriors and Renegades

• Alexander O’Connor is born to Gabrielle and Connor
• Ascension Renegades destroy New Justice and kill Gabrielle and Connor
• Genesis becomes Alexander O’Connor’s protector until he comes of age, training him in the ways of the Blade

1044 AD

• the human Aeron is born

1060 AD

• the Ascension Renegade leadership is killed by Dante, scattering the Renegades into factions
• Aeron defeats an Immortal Nation army and establishes an alliance of independent human nations

1066 AD

• the human Anika is born, daughter to Aeron

1070 AD

• Gabriel O’Connor is born to Blades Alexander O’Connor and Genesis, the first birth by an Immortal
• the Defender Prime Michael is created

1077 AD

• Alexander O’Connor is killed by Immortal Nation warriors; Gabriel O’Connor is kidnapped by the Immortal Nation
• the human Dawn is born
• in order to protect his people, the hero Aeron is granted the power of the Primeval, swearing allegiance to Hell

1093 AD

• the vampire Gabriel is sired by Tiberius and is sent to Halo to be shaped as his new instrument
• Dawn is called as the Slayer

1095 AD

• as his first task, Gabriel destroys the fledgling human alliance; the vampire Anika is sired by Gabriel...on a whim

1099 AD - Revolution begins

1100 AD

• Genesis is forced to flee to the kingdom of Atlantis; agents of the Immortal Nation attack and Atlantis declares open hostilities against the vampires
• Abyss makes a pact with Tiberius, allying Hell with the Immortal Nation against Realm, beginning the Second Realm War
• a group of Primevals annihilate the Realm Alliance forces in Rome; in the aftermath of their victory, the Primevals are decimated by the Immortal Gael Idanes

1111 AD

• Prince Thrax is given command over the war against Realm
• Atlantis disappears beneath the ocean surface, defeated by the combined forces of Oblivion and the IN
• the army of Blades thought wiped out is found and revived by Genesis, turning the tide of the war against the Demons

1114 AD

• unable to stay his need for vengeance, Aeron breaks the alliance between Hell and the Immortal Nation by wiping out the IN Council in Halo

1115 AD

• Genesis is killed by Gabriel
• the Second Realm War ends and the forces of darkness are scattered, the last of the Order of Blades are killed in the final battles

1120 AD

• In a final battle that sends the Immortal Nation underground, Dawn is killed, the longest-surviving Slayer to date
• Aeron is expelled from the ranks of Hell, a rogue Primeval

• Kronos kills the Slayer Alexandra
• on orders from Abyss, Sekhmet attempts to kill Aeron

1204 AD

• the vampire Isaac is sired
• after decades of struggle, Aeron defeats Sekhmet, but does not kill her; in her shame, Sekhmet changes her name to Sela

• after centuries of battling the various Demon warlords, Halo’s natives manage to take back nominal control of their world
